It’s been a record breaking month for SunnyMoney Zambia! In October the Eastern Province team sold 2600 solar products during the schools campaign, bringing the total number of sales for Zambia for the month to 4300. We are projecting even larger sales for November, with the Eastern Province and Lusaka teams both running full tilt across nine districts.

Katete, Petauke & Sinda Districts
Following successful DEBS (District Education Board Secretary) meetings earlier this week, the team has expanded its operations to three further districts - Katete, Petauke and Sinda. With these three districts our Eastern Province operations now cover over 600 schools in its SunnyMoney programme, that’s 8% of all schools in Zambia!

You leave it a few days and there’s almost too much to update!
Last week we sold over 800 solar products across Chipata district. That’s over 1700 products sold since we arrived last month. Not bad. Solar light sales begin!
Today we began sales of our solar lights in Chipata district. The team visited Luona and Chikungu zones where we delivered 189 lights to school representatives.
Luona and Chikungu are two zones of eight involved in our original schools trial that we began in June. To date we have sold over 1500 lights to these eight zones and expect a further 750 sales in the coming week. We will begin our...
Headteacher Meetings Complete!
Over the past 2 1/2 weeks the SunnyMoney team has been busy holding headteacher meetings throughout Chipata and Chadiza districts.
We have held 16 meetings covering 23 zones and 157 schools. That’s a staggering 1902 teachers and 90,569 students!
